Welcome to St. Bede’s Cooperative Academy!  We are a Catholic, classical homeschool program run and taught exclusively by parent volunteers.  We meet Tuesday mornings in Laurel, Maryland.

We offer classes for grammar stage children, covering grades K-7.  We follow the Catholic Schoolhouse curriculum, featuring science experiments, art projects, music, and memory work in religion, Latin, history, and geography. Our upper grammar students (grades 4-7) meet in a separate seminar block to study literature based in our history timeline, where they delve into the crossroads of history, religion and literature.

Our preschool program, for three and four year old siblings of grammar students, follows a weekly theme centered around the letter of the week. The children partake in crafts and activities, story time, show and tell, and music and movement.

For children under age 2, we staff a nursery with parent volunteers.

Registration for 2019-2020 is now open for returning families.  Space permitting, registration for new families will begin May 1.  If you are interested in learning more about our program or would like to come visit us for a day, please contact us at saintbedehomeschool@gmail.com.

  1. Good afternoon! I’m the father of two girls (ages 4 and 2) and a boy on the way in June. I’m very interested in this program and was hoping I could arrange a visit for my oldest daughter Margaret. We are parishoners at Saint Gabriel parish in Windsor Mill, whose parish school (John Paul Regional) will be closing next year. We’re investigating home schooling options.
