Welcome to St. Bede’s Cooperative! St. Bede’s is a Catholic homeschool cooperative that utilizes a classical curriculum to educate our children in academics, virtue, and faith. We meet Tuesday mornings in Laurel, Maryland.
We offer classes for grammar stage children, covering grades K-8. We follow the Catholic Schoolhouse curriculum, featuring science experiments, art projects, music, and memory work in religion, Latin, history, and geography. Our upper grammar students (grades 4-8) also meet in a seminar block for a history-based literature study.
Our preschoolers, three and four-year-old siblings of grammar students, partake in crafts, story time, show and tell, music, math, and science.
We are run and taught exclusively by parent volunteers. For children under age 2, we also offer a nursery.
Registration for the 2021-2022 school year opens on April 1st for returning families and, space permitting, for new families on May 1st. If you are interested in learning more about our program or would like to come visit us for a day, please contact us at saintbedehomeschool@gmail.com.
Good afternoon! I’m the father of two girls (ages 4 and 2) and a boy on the way in June. I’m very interested in this program and was hoping I could arrange a visit for my oldest daughter Margaret. We are parishoners at Saint Gabriel parish in Windsor Mill, whose parish school (John Paul Regional) will be closing next year. We’re investigating home schooling options.
